Hi Nick: How did you make out? If it went well, what worked. Is your razor made of D2?

The razor is fantastic . The lapping film made very quick work of the razor . I am very impressed . had I known about this stuff a while ago I could have saved hundreds on hones .
Specs on the razor
Blade: 5160 Spring steel, perforated and polished, hardened to 60 Rc. Knurled finger grips. Shaving edge 6 2-5/8" long, overall length 7-3/4". Exactly 6/8 wide.
Handle: 6AL4V Titanium, shaped, perforated, sandblasted and sealed with high-temperature clear gun-coat lacquer. Interior mirror polished.
The hardware (pivot and standoffs) are A2 tool steel, with phosphor bronze pivot washers.
Overall length (open) 9-1/16" (closed) 6-1/8".
Weight: 2-3/4 ounces (80 grams).
