Question about CO Bigelow and Proraso Vs. Omega

From what I understand........Proraso cream and CO Bigelow cream from Bath and Body Works are the exact same. Is this really true?

And if it is, what is the difference between those two and Omega as Proraso manufactures Omega cream and soap as well?

The Proraso vs. Bigelow consensus is they are the same. Older Omega has lanolin in it and the eucalyptus amount is toned down.

I have used all three products, and in my experience they are identical. I could not tell the difference between Omega/ C.O. Bigelow.

The color of Proraso is whiter than that of C.O. Bigelow but they are otherwise identical.

they're about the same. C.O. is heavy cream lol

Here is the ingredients list of C.O. Bigelow. I don't have Proraso or Omega to do a straight comparison though. It is also possible that although they have the same/similar ingredients the amounts may be different in each. Maybe someone else could do something similar?

C.O. Bigelow was the agent for Proraso in the states. He is based in Manhattan and if a site carried it, they bought it from him most likely. That makes me think he worked out a deal and just re-branded it. My understanding is that it takes six month at least, to start a new formula. There is a period of time that must be waited to see how it holds up in storage, over time, etc. It is way easier just to re-brand an approved formula, plus the stuff is good so it would make it a no brainer.

I have not had the pleasure to sample Omega. In my opinion it kind of got pushed aside in the Tabac or Proraso frenzy although I could be mistaken.

This has come up time and time again. The Bigelow cream is the same as Proraso. The Proraso soft soap is the same as the Omega soft soap.

If they are the same, and more and more people find out that omega and proraso are nearly identical, won't omega theoretically out-sell proraso due to the price difference?

Darjeeling's link above points to a detailed comparison/performance evaluation of the three creams, including a list of the ingredients in each.

You really can't go wrong with any of the 3.

How about that Santa Maria Novella (SMN) for 5x the cost of Proraso? From what I read, same base formula just (a lot) more expensive EO's. Ludovico Martell SRL/Gruppo Martell makes creams/soaps under a few brands using the same base formula, but maybe just slightly different FO's or EO's. I wish they made a dirt cheap unscented cream.
