Question about bakelite razors

I have the following questions for more advanced users.
There is something so special about the safety razor made ​​of bakelite?
My guess is that most of you have a large arsenal of razors and I would like to know how often do you use bakelite, what caused that bought them, what you like and what you do not ...

I have been wanting to add a bakelite military tech to my collection for display. I have used a bakelite razor before, but I do not prefer them, as I like some heft in my razors

My favorite DE razors are a Tradere first gen and a bakelite open comb slant. These are remarkably different razors but both provide simply amazing shaves. While the bakelite is quite light, I find it to provide a very smooth shave allowing for almost no pressure due to its construction. I have have a plastic handled tech which is similar in it's lightness and find it to be every bit as good as my fat-handled and I may even prefer it a bit.

My only complaint about them is that they both feel cheap. The Tradere on the other hand is a beast by comparison and is undoubtedly well constructed. IMO it's worth trying the bakelite, especially if you can find the slant version.
