question about a gillette razor

If this is a trivia question, my answer is: the very safety razor that he patented had combs on each side that came up to meet the top plate sandwiching the blade in between. The combs then curled back down on the outside.

If this is a question about a razor you've found at a flea market, it's an Old or New with the bottom plate upside down...

If your talking about the 2 razors on ebay that had the combs turned up.... the seller had the bottom plate on upside down

Nope i have only seen one before like it, and it was an antique german razor. This razor is one i found at a antique store. No pun intended.

no Im almost 100 % sure the plate was not upside down it would have had a gap in it and it was flush just the teeth where curved upward not bent they where curved upward i will go look at it again this thursday just to make sure

Take a picture! If it's the one in the patent drawing it would be quite a find. I'll gladly accept a hefty consultation fee if it's worth a fortune!
