QED Bergamot

Yep. Earl Grey tea on your face. Very nice, very strong, and ultimately (to me) not very interesting. Sold mine off awhile back.

This is one of my favorite citrus scents (Bathtub Gin is very nice as well). I actually found Bergamot to be a little more lightly scented than most QED soaps, and more interesting than many of your standard scents. I've used Bergamot in both stick and tub form, and for some reason, I don't think it lathers as well as other QED soaps.

Thanks.
Now you have me curious about the bathtub gin.

Well, the proper B&B solution would be to get them both, but if I had to choose one, it would be the Bathtub Gin because it is unique. When I first smelled this soap, I pretty much just smelled lime, but lathered up, the juniper really comes out. It's only available in a stick, but I tend to prefer QED in stick form anyway.

The bathtub gin is not even for sale any more...

EDIT: Bathtub gin is actually still available. I just did not see it

I have QED Bergamot and I love it. It's the first soap that I made a real good lather with, and convinced me to buy more soap from there. Bergamot has a strong citrus scent, I like citrus scents so this was perfect =D its worth a try if you like this kind of thing.

IIRC, the Bathtub Gin Shave Stick originated as a Group Buy offering from QED to B&B many moons ago. Great scent. I finished mine last year and would consider obtaining another.

He used to offer a number of bath soaps that weren't listed on the web site.....you have to ask. Bathtub Gin was one of them. I also have a puck of the Bergamot shave soap and enjoy it, though my favorite is still the Patchouli/Tea Tree/Peppermint!

+1 on the Bathtub Gin. Like Aaron said, the juniper really comes out when you lather. Very unique, & great for the hot weather. I'll have to use mine tomorrow! :thumbup1:

Funny as I pulled out the Bathtub Gin Stick for my shave yesterday and thought to myself, why doesn't this get more "airplay" here as a recommendation for a citrus scented soap.
Nice to see that the gin heads are still here!:thumbup1:
Still have a couple of sticks stashed away from that group buy ages ago!:biggrin1:

"218, Sandalwood, B&B are not posted because they are presently out of stock. I was not certain that I desired to continue with them because of the increase in the price of the oils they require. But they will all be back in stock shortly with, no doubt, slightly higher prices."

Honestly, I've only ever used Proraso cream, AoS Sandalwood cream, Cella, and QED Sandalwood and compared to my Proraso and Cella I don't think it stacks up. Plus I think QED uses way too many EO's.

Funny ... "way too many EO's" is exactly what I love about Charles' soaps. YMMV, one man's meat, etc. etc. etc.

I don't think he'll have any trouble moving those.
