I'm sure you will enjoy it. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't face lather with it either. Works well with either face or bowl lathering.

Recently got the H8, a damn great brush and you can face lather anything with it.
One of lifes little treats... Kent BK8 and an Arko stick. Face lathering heaven. Make sure the Kent is dripping with very warm water, quite luxurious.
Never had one but based on the descriptions I've read one of my customs performs like the Kents. I've heard they are floppy but WHO CARES, if it's soft and builds lather and that's what you like.... you done good!

Very nice looking knot!! My personal issue with these (I don't have one and probably never will) is the shape of the handle, it's just not for me. With that said, how does it feel in your hand? Any test lathers yet?
Lovely. I just received on as well. I haven't shaved with it yet, just cleaned it well in soap. They are very beautiful, well built brushes....and I love the handle shape. That's such a personal thing though.
The two handle shapes that were my least favorite were this and the keyhole...until I had them in hand and used them. Now they are two of my favorites!
First few lathers sucked. I am on fire now with that brush and three different soaps, Arlington, Proraso Green, Tabac. It retains so much water and for me needs a ton of product, but I'm still a n00b. Handle feels fine. Never gave it much thought. Feels comfortable.
