Proven Frag Combos (at least for you)

I've seen some posts about what are some good AS and frag combinations but I didn't see anything on 2 frags at once. Yes an AS could be worn as a fragrance but I think I'm more interested in some good colognes that mix well together.

Of course there are the obvious ones such as a nice sandalwood AS followed by a sandalwood frag but what about something that doesn't make sense on the surface?

Who would have thought Waffles and Peanut butter (my person fav) go together. Pickle Juice and Jack Daniels, Kanye and Kim?

When I bought some Virgin Island Water and OV the lady asked me if I had Aventus. I said that I did and she then recommended a 1:1 ratio of spray for Aventus and VIW. She said to NOT do that with OV and Aventus. I tried it out and I have to say that I really do like it. It's a pleasant mix and contrast of the light sugary rum and coconut/lime with the smokey, leathery musk smell.

Anyone else discover an nice concoction?

I'm not into mixing/layering, but have run into a few good accidental mixes:

Creed Royal English Leather + Tabarome Millesime

CDG Vettiveru used as an AS splash and then layer TDH, Montale Red Vetyver, or Chanel Sycomore on top of it.

Frankly, I'm not into layering fragrances. I don't believe in taking a perfumers creation, and spraying another perfumers creation on top of it. I use the word creation with a bit of caution taking into consideration some designer houses crank out fragrances, market them as being the greatest fragrances to have ever been formulated. Put them in the front row, until the next great creation comes out. Then it goes further back in the row, and so on, and so on until it falls off the shelf. I am in no way demeaning fragrance layering by any means, I'm simply saying It's not for me. If you find it to your liking thats great

I've never dabbled with that much. I know some do to great effect. There is a Creed scent combo sheet that can be found online that always intrigued me, but I found even with about a dozen Creeds, I don't have any two to make one of their suggested combos.

Sometimes a dab of oud on my wrists and perhaps a fairly straight sandalwood or vetiver (Profumum or Etro) on my chest. I've never dabbled in blending the more complex scents - like Knize 10 and Piper Nigrum together or anything like that. It seems a bit like mixing wine and spirits - it might work but it's very hard to make it work better than either one alone.

As strange as it sounds...equal parts of the "VEG", 4711 & Avon Island lime. The scents all compliment each other, and is a decently lasting combo.

Floid Valoroso or Suave and Creed Acier Aluminum are a nice combo together as are Tam Dao by Diptique and Florida Water by Murray & Lanman...Something about the Sandalwood mixed with the floral scent....no idea...it smells great on me and my wife likes both combinations.

TRIVIA - Florida Water is OFTEN used in Santeria Washing Rituals and can be found in MOST Cuban Botanica stores for around $3 in the Plastic Bottle and $6 to $7 in the glass bottle. They smell the same in either bottle and have great sillage for what they are.

I'm going to try some halston I-12 over a shot of rive gauche.

I find the I-12 drydown to have some similarities to rive gauche.

Also today I followed musgo A/S with caron ph it seemed to work pretty well.
