Hey,

I've been using Proraso's white tub for some time now and have been wondering whether or not it is actually soap or just dense or hardened cream. Their website, and the container itself says soap, but I can't help but think that it's not really soap. Is it actually shaving soap?

I've been using the white tub Proraso off and on for the past couple of weeks. I tend to take Proraso at their word that it is soap, but I can see an argument to the contrary being made.

This is a topic of some debate in the wetshaving world. Some say it's a hard cream, others say it's a soft soap. To-may-to, to-mah-to. For me, it just flat out works.

To me it seems like whipped soap. Sort of like whipped butter vs. regular butter. Lots of air in there. For me, it wears down faster than even melt-and-pour soaps like Van der Hagen.
