Prada Luna Rossa Eau de Toilette (Red Moon)

Gave this juice a whiff last week and I felt compelled to tell the B&B about it. What a wonderful Lavender scent.

Released September of 2012, but not making it to mainstream stores until early 2013. the nose behind this is Daniela Roche Andrier.

Top Notes: Bitter Orange Essence, Lavender

Heart Notes: Clary Sage, Spearmint Nanah

Base Notes: Ambroxan, Ambrette Absolute

A Masculine, Fresh Woody Aromatic

To me this is one of the best "designer" frags i have smelled in a while. I put it up there toe to toe with Aqua Di gio and Armani Code. There are synthetics a plenty in this, but I will admit it is blended very well. The Lavender is the driving note no doubt, but it has at least three distinct phases. The opening is bright citrus, but it doesn't last long... maybe 10 minutes - i could be wrong. the heart of this juice will grab you. Its minty, amber-y animallic and yet lite like fluffy pillows. Sweet and Herb-like. The dry down is mostly lavender, but the scent had at least 8 hours duration through the heart notes. I see this one perhaps being a best seller for Prada. I'm hoping someone else has tried this, and agrees... if you don't agree then

I'll be posting a video review of this scent next week. I think that this is a good scent and worthwhile as long as you don't own any other Prada scents in their non-exclusive series. Otherwise, it's redundant. It has that soapy vibe that has sort of become the trademark of Andrier scents under the Prada label. The problem is it's not the best of those scents even remotely. Infusion D'Homme and Amber Extreme both have more punch and better longevity. This is a nice scent for someone who is just getting into fragrances or for someone who wants a crowd pleaser. It won't challenge your nose but should garner a great deal of compliments. As long as you apply a good deal of it. It really is a skin scent after an hour or so.
