Polycrystalline Diamond vs CBN

Looking at buying some Diamond powder or CBN powder to make my own slurry for finish honing. I've done a bit of reading and it seems that CBN particles seem to be more uniformly sized than Polycrystalline Diamond and I would assume CBN would be a bit more affordable? I am also looking for sources to buy the powders in small quantites 10-25ct amounts and different micron sizes from 1μ - 0.050μ , I'm having difficulty finding CBN powders. I'd love to hear your takes/opinions on the differences of each substance used in this regard? Going after a similar approach as Ken Schwartz using Nano cloth and CBN sprays.

I like CBN for up to .1 micron, then poly if you go smaller. I never tried poly larger than .05 though. I would be interested to get your take on the powders as I only have experience with Ken's sprays.

I've only ever used CBN until .125 micron and love how it performs, fast fast fast. I find that if I apply a few spritzes of water to my treated material it performs even better. I'd agree with the consistency of the CBN particle size and shape based on what I've read and realistically, it's is so similar in properties to diamond that if that, unless the diamond was cheaper, I'd go with the CBN.

Why doesn't somebody mash up a coticle and make some wunder-powder for getting that "comfy" coticle edge?

There is a thread somewhere in which someone lapped a coticule that had some nasty dishing in it and he saved the slurry and water lol. Lots of guys use friable stone slurry and treat their linen strops with it.
