Does anyone have both the Polo 8 and Chubby 3 in a best? I have the Polo 8 but I am wondering if the Chubby 3 would be basically the same brush as the Polo only shorter.

I have the Polo 8 in Manchurian. The knot size is 26.19 mm and the loft is 51.51 mm. My Chubby 3 in Best is currently on loan, so I can't measure it but The Superior Shave, where I purchased my Chubby 3, lists their current Chubby 3s at ~31 mm knot and a 56 mm loft.
Even if the measurements were the same, the Chubby series is known to be a the most dense models of the Simpson brushes.

I think the Polos will be a bit more floppier with the longer loft length than the Chubbys.+
I believe, based on the Polo 8's I've seen personally, that the knot is a bit smaller. The lofts will be different for each individual brush...I've seen both short and long lofted Polo 8's and the same goes for Chubby 3's. If the loft is important, I'd exchange emails with the vendor to confirm knot characteristics...much easier I find if buying from another member. Both great brushes and you can't go wrong with either one!
I would think that the Polo10 and the Chubby2 would be a closer match.
They are both great brushes. The Polo can't match the Chubby's density, although the Polo is quite dense too. Also, the Polo is more of a pure bulb-shaped knot while the Chubby's knot is a hybrid that is closer to a fan than a bulb, so the Chubby's bloom will be much broader than the Polo's.
I have a Polo 12 which is 30mm x 58mm
The Chubby 3 is 31mm x 56mm
So a Chubby 3 is closer to a Polo 12 than the others in the Polo line up
