Polishing Gillette Cap - HELP!

Hi gents,

I have a question for you guys. I was wondering if I polished the cap on my '52 Gillette Tech, if it would ruin the logo on it. I have MAAS polish, and I know it's very mild. I wanted to ask you guys first before I take a crack at it, I don't want to kill it.

Hmmm have you tried just polishing with a Terry/microfiber cloth? give that a go if you havrnt
If that diesnt help then find a toothbrush and with just running water scrub softly . Bit sure on mas but I would try these attempts first. Then really good cleaners are the dry jewelery wipes you can but from Walmart in there jeweler section

Ok I'll try the toothbrush scrub after I give it a soak in some scrubbing bubbles. If those don't clean it up to my satisfaction, I'll buy some of the jeweler wipes. I kind of wanted to use MAAS as a last resort, just in case it ruins the cap's finish. Thanks for the advice

Not sure if the MAAS will hurt the logo if used lightly. Personally, I would start with a short Scrubbing Bubbles soak. Then I would use the mildest cleaning method (like a soft bristled toothbrush, dishwashing liquid, and warm water) and progressively use more aggressive methods of cleaning (like a whitening toothpaste scrub and polish, followed by a mild metal polishing paste, etc...). Start mild and work slowly. You may get a great shiny razor without having to use the harsh stuff.
