Plisson Shave Cream

Just curious if anybody has experience with Plisson Shave Cream. I just ordreda tube, and am wondering if was a good purchase?

I received a complimentary tube a long time back with a Plisson brush order from Atkinson's of Vancouver. (Or it might have been Cambridge Chemists...like I said, it was a long time ago.) It didn't look like the current tube being sold at Atkinson's, so it might have been a different product; it was made by Plisson, but it seemed to me it was a variation on their classic cream. All I remember is that the product I received was very strongly scented, and I don't think I ever used it due to that. If I did use it, I must not have been very impressed, because I don't remember it. That was a good four years ago or more, so my memory is a little foggy, not to mention it may have changed since that time. That probably doesn't help you too much, but you'll be able to make your own call on it soon anyway. I'll be interested to see what you think of it.

Edit: The mists are clearning a little bit, and after poking around online, I remember it was the Plisson Matin Ambre shaving cream. It doesn't appear to be sold any more, so that's probably not what you ordered.

Exactly right. Received it last night along with a brush. I would say it is about equivalent to any of the 3T's, but nothing extraordinary--clearly not the "grail." The scent was not particularly strong, nor was it unplesant, but it was just, well, unremarkable. The brush, on the other hand, is the nicest one I have ever used.

Sounds nice. I'm glad you're enjoying it. My Plisson is one of my top two favorite brushes.

This brand is wonderful. I am using this shaving cream. Its features are good as it is so fresh and invigorating fragrance. It forms compact lather which is a little goes a long way. The wonderful thing about it is there is no need of using brush with it.

Tried it this morning and had a very clean, close shave. The scent however was barely detectable. For the price, I get the same results or better from the much cheaper Erasmic or Ingram's.
