Please advise on Edwin Jagger brush.

Hello Gentlemen.

I'm looking to buy my first badger brush and have pretty much settled on the Edwin Jagger best badger, however I can't seem to find out the difference between these two models

I can see a slightly different handle and one includes a stand, but why is the one with the stand so much cheaper and why can't I find it on EJ's site?

Last year model vs new model. This is the reason you could not find the cheaper one on EJ site.

It could possibly be the knot size (diameter where the brush/handle meet) the 877 is 21mm and the 947 comes in 19mm and 21mm - perhaps the cheaper price you are seeing for the 947 is the 19mm knot (although I couldn't see dimensions in the description)

Prices will vary slightly from vendor to vendor even for the exact same product.

I have the EJ Medium Silvertip brush, and I would really recommend you go for the large one as medium is fairly small.
