Plastic free container?

Hey fellas,
I'd like to get my hubby some new shaving cream for Christmas, but we are trying to avoid plastic. He is almost out of tobs, and I am pretty sure he prefers cream to soap. Does anything come in a metal or glass container? If not, I guess he has to get used to soap! Thanks!

There is one of the TOBS that come in a limited edition tin container. Check over at West Coast Shaving. Klar is a soap that comes in a tin. Proraso cream is in a "metal" tube. Crabtree and Evelyn Cream comes in a "metal" tube . While I know you said he prefers creams, you can buy most soaps in pucks. Good luck.

Simpson's Luxury Shave cream has an aluminum container and lid. Penhaligons shave cream has a pretty glass container with it's own silver plated lid.

Erasmic old-formulation came in a metal tube with a plastic cap. Maybe someone can comment on the new black-cap formulation. As for other plastic-free (or close to it) options Honeybee Spa sells pucks where the only plastic is the shrink-wrap packaging that protects the soap in shipping, I think Mama Bear's also has this as an option. If you live in SF or Marin (many if not most eco-sensitive people in the US do) the plastic shrink-wrap is recyclable. Williams comes in a paperboard box but that particular soap is not the greatest for shaving. VDH (an excellent shaving soap) comes in a plastic protective cup and paperboard, they claim 85% less plastic than most sellers in their sales pitch.

then a tube of GFT Coconut and just put the cream into the stainless container. that is what i did just recently ... nice clean looking container.
