Pirate's Cove soaps

I was checking into Priate's Cove soaps. The price is good! Just wondering how big that puck is for $4.00?

Also, anyone have any experience with their Bay Rum??

First soap i bought was Pirate's Cove.

I can say, especially with the price, that they are a VERY good soap. The smell, well, fantastic.
I've tried the bay rum, it was the best of the bunch, seemed to produce a better lather than the other two pucks ibought from them, menthol and coconut I think...

Would recommend. And as said by the previous poster, the customer service is second to none.

They are your standard melt and pour glycerine shave soaps. Nothing spectacular, but pretty good. Definitely worth the money. Better than Col Conk for sure in terms of scent.

If you are looking at that type of soaps I would suggest Mama Bear. You won't do better, and hers are also inexpensive - maybe more so than Pirates Cove.

I have 4 or 5 MB's soaps now. PC soaps appear to be less expensive. Thats why I was wondering how big their puck is.

Perfectly sized to fit into my Muhle shaving mug... Sorry m8, best I can do.
Good soap, but goes quick so order a few pucks, and try the bay rum, it's great.

I've tried the Pirate's Cove and been very very happy. Was previously a Conk guy, but it's true that the scent on Cove is so much better. I even use it to wash my face at the end of the work day. Nice lather. I tried MB samples and was not impressed with either the scent or the lather. I know she is highly regarded, it might be me. I think Cove is a good value and for know, that will be my go to soap.

Just wish the website gave info on size of the puck. It could be anything! I want to know how much I'm paying for. With Mama Bear you know you're getting a 4 oz tub, it says so right on the website. Also, MB soaps are on sale now... 20% off!

I will learn the difference between now and know. Somewhere in my undergrad, I know they taught it.:blushing:

LOL....... we all mess that one up now and then!!! :001_cool:

Glycerin soaps don't last long - that's my only complaint. You need to factor in how many shaves you get when looking at the price. A cake of triple milled will last me on the order of 9 - 12 months. Glycerin soap about 2 months.

Is Pirate's Cove triple milled?

I know it's a zombie thread, but I was looking for recent reviews of PC soaps and this popped up. I noticed that nobody had answered the OP's question, so I thought I could answer it for posterity's sake - 3"x1".

I figure it has been long enough for me to not feel too guilty about threadjacking this, but does anybody know why PC has two different prices (depending on whether you go through the index3.htm that is comes up on Google or the index.htm, $3 and $4)?

Select the "contact us" and ask for puck size, most vendors will respond within 36 hours.
