Pino Silvestre - thumbs up from both of us

Yum - this smells good! If you're like me and really like the rosin scent of pine, you'll love Pino Silvestre.

Top Notes
Bergamot, Lavender, Lemon

Middle Notes
Geranium, Pine, Clary Sage

Base Notes
Cedarwood, Moss, Musk, Amber
Goes on nice and strong; drys down pretty quickly and leaves a nice pine scent behind. My wife really liked it!

To me it smells kind of like cough-candy & is peppery.

Really like the stuff, as mentioned available at a decent price too.

I like the scent, I have the shower gel/shampoo and have to get my hands on the cologne. When I was a young teen, my brother used it for some time.

I had a bottle of this, but the scent really didn't work for me. Way too much like Pine Sol, or some other floor cleaner. And I wear Yatagan on occasion.

^Yes, i agree.

i do like some Pine in my scents, but Pino is a dated and less-than-optimal quality use of the wonderful evergreen.

As for bargain scents featuring pine that aren't dated?
My choice there would be Geoffrey Beenes' Bowling Green, no question.
If not bargain hunting, L'Artisan's Fou D'Absinthe is excellent.

I have been unsuccessful in finding and trying some of their flankers to the orginal Pino, such as Green Generation, and Extreme, having an even wilder bottle:

see abovesee I am intrigued by this scent after all of this discussion.

I love Bowling Green, but I would not have said that it was pine intense. It has a pine note for sure. A nice pine middle note. Not dominant to me.

EDIt: When I got home I put some Bowling Green on my arm. That was a couple of hours ago. Dullah is really right. The pine is in there throughout. Very well-integrated but in there. Somehow it does not seem like that Pine Sol piney-ness. Not that I dislike that. Whn folks complaiin about that in Pen's BB I understand. BB is still in my top five edts, but I understand!

I would say the classic love it or hate it scent with prominent pine note is Pen's BB.

Well, the AD bug bit me--I just ordered the EdT and aftershave off of Amazon marketplace--the vendor was 99perfume. Hope the aftershave is the real deal after all the stories about it being elusive.

I love the scent of pine, so I hope it really is a dominant note--which judging by the bottle, it is!

For the record, I don't like Pen's BB because to me it's mostly lemon, little pine.

I'm just finishing the first week of a two week vacation and packed Pino Silvestre as my only scent. I've been using it every day and you *know* just how tight the confines of a small motel room and rented car can be - and she *still* likes it! She says it's one of the best scents she's ever smelled on me.

Hello everybody. I am a newcomer here.

This thread was actually the reason I singed up. Here's what is going on:

A really good friend of mine is a great fan of Pino Silvestre, but it is so, that it's impossible to find this cologne in Greece (where we live).

Yet, I am to visit London in a few days :biggrin1:
So here goes...
Do you perhaps know any shops in London where I can find Pino Silvestre?

Unfortunatelly, on line shopping at this point is not an option for me.
