I got my first bottles of the Veg and Clubman Musk this last friday and I have had a chance to try them out. I'll start with the Veg, this stuff smell horrid in the bottle to me, I decided to give it a try anyways and after about 30 minutes I can start to smell the "lilacs" in it, smells exactly like the tree flowers to me. 4 hours later it fades to a real faint powdery scent not far off from a deoderant type scent to me. I think I will keep this one in the rotation but the jury is still out on if I want to be "chosen" or not. This is definately a scent you have to wear before you judge, it took me 2 years to get the courage to try it since I first smelled a bottle of it at a local barber shop. My daughter liked this one after about an hour better than the musk. My wife is indifferent to this one.
The Clubman Musk out of the bottle smells very simular to regular clubman but a hint of something else mysteriouse is in there too. I love the scent of regular clubman and if I could only have 1 aftershave it would be the plain old clubman. Musk has a pink tint to it in the bottle, after putting it on and the regular clubamn scent fades in a few hours I am left with a nice faint musk that lasts at least a few more hours. You could refresh with the regular clubman and it would not affect this scent at all. The only pinaud scent that lasts me all day is Special Reserve. but I don't care to refresh scents unless I am feeling down or something like that and want a pick me up. Both my wife and daughter are indifferent to this one, good thing I only wear the stuff that I like like...
