I've been wanting to do a PIF for a while, and finally got around to making one! I've always loved how generous the community here is with PIF's, and I want to pay it back to someone who needs it.
I bought a Parker SR1 Stainless Steel Shavette from WCS on my last purchase because I wanted to see how it would be like to have a straight without the hassle of stropping/honing, but unfortunately, it was not my thing, so I think I'm going to stick with my trusted Futur for a now. This works well for you all, because now I can PIF it to the community!
Now to get to my (somewhat) ulterior motive for this PIF!
About a month ago I joined up to participate in the 2013 Sporting Life 10K run. This run is on Sunday, May 12 and proceeds are raised to help send children with cancer to Camp Oochigeas, which allows them to have a week of just being kids! Cancer has affected everyone in their lives; for me, it was with my sister, so when she told me she would be running the 10K, I immediately signed up to support her in the run.
I started training, and went from barely running anything, to a huge increase in both stamina and speed, and am almost at my 10K goal.
So now to how to enter and win in the PIF, you must guess what my running time will be (to the second) to complete the 10K run. The PIF will close May 12th at 8:00am EST (right when the run starts). This PIF is open to anyone across the world. I'll be sending the shavette via letter mail with 10x Astra SP blades, so it will be fairly cheap.
If you do want to support me in the run (which is not necessary to enter this PIF), or to just want to see more information, you can go to http://ooch.org/salim.
Rules:
1. You do not already own a shavette
2. You will not sell the shavette, and if you don't like it, you will PIF it to someone else
