So I received an of Personna reds has really been turning out fantastic shaves in my Gillette slim - like butter, perfect. They are not nearly as nice in my other razors, like at all (merkur 20C, Cadet open comb, Weishi 9306). Kind of wierd how that works. They will be my go to blade in the slim though. Anyone have similar experiences?

They are a good blade and one I uses frequently.
I'm a big fan. Haven't noticed it performing differently from one razor to the next but ymmv
I like the reds. I have a trade of some labs that I may load up tomorrow to compare.
The IP Red is my favourite blade. I use them in all of my razors with excellent results.

The red IPs are a cornerstone in my blade stash. Since I am a firm believer in the forthcoming Shave Apocalypse I have stashed 20+ years worth of these. 
I have noticed that they are not as comfortable in my travel razor (a '47 Aristocrat) as in my usual razor, the Ilmarinen ( http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php/355024-Stainless-replated-in-black-chrome ).
Furthermore there seems to be something going on with the packaging. Most recently the marking 'Made in Israel' has disappeared from the ones I bought. Earlier the red wrapper disappeared. The packaging now looks like this in the European version: http://connaughtshaving.com/redpersonna.html .

I just used a red in my NEW long comb tonight after not using one for many months. They feel dull and do not cut well for me. The NEW is usually such an effortless shaver. The NEW and a silver blue- now that is a smooth and sharp combo!
Have tried four different Personnas and I like the Reds along with the Crystals and Lab Blues. Smooth clean shaves.
The Reds were my security blanket for some time before I wandered off to try others.

I haven't used them since finishing my original sampler pack. They treated me well. I should get some more for my blade stash. I have a 100 pack of the Personna Supers (labs).
I have about 650 of those and I think I will buy more.
I only use Reds and Labs. I get great results in my blue tip Superspeed.
What setting did you have them on in your Slim? Theay are a face for me too. Work great in my Slims (on 8 or 9 for the face and around 5 for the neck) and my Fatip. Not sharp enough for my Techs. One of my essential blades.

I leave my slim on 6 and forget it. I will have reds from now on for this razor. Likewise for me they are not sharp enough for my mild Weishi, feathers seem the perfect match for it.
For me Red IPs are the best in price/performance in razor blades. Red IPs work well in any of my razors (Slim, R-41, 39c, L-6).
For me the Personna Red is a very good blade, both sharp and smooth. I prefer Personna Med Preps, but only slightly. Feathers, which I also use frequently, seem sharper, but not as smooth. Finally, although I understand it's a major consideration for many, I've never been able to make sense of matching a particular blade to a particular razor. Rather, I just move the blade from razor to razor until it's time for it to be banked. Yet another instance of YMMV, I'm sure.

OK-Let's muddy the water a bit on the "Red's". There is new packaging, both white and blue, and different red packs. Some say that one of the new red boxes are just packaged in Mexico but are the same Israeli Red blade. Another source says the red boxes with Spanish are actually made in Mexico now. There is also a new Red pack and a new White & Blue pack (UK?). Does anyone know for sure which are the same blade and if any are different. I have some of the "new" "white & blue" Reds on the way. Gotta love Personna marketing world wide.
