Pen Flushing Video

I know it has been talked about a few times, but here is a new great video from Brian Goulet on flushing pens.

+1, Dave! The Goulet FP101 vids are a great watch no matter if you are a vet or a rookie, you are sure to learn something or validate what you have already been doing.

Yeah, I have been using a bulb syringe, but it does not work with some of my pens. I never thought to adapt an empty cartridge, with the syringe thing. That is a good idea!

Pretty clever! It's along the same line of thinking as converting a spent cartridge into a bulb-filler.

One other thing I've seen is where the bulb syringe is trimmed so that the tip is wider than the section and fits over it, which I thought was pretty clever as well (but not nearly as universal).

I went as far as using a syringe and needle to fill up my Pilot Vanishing Point up at the hospital this weekend. I didn't feel like dipping the nib or the reservoir into my Manhattan Blue. So I took the syringe and filled it up 1cc and injected it into the converter.

Do I need help? HAHA

Now half as wise
Isaac, if you need help, them I'm beyond it. I've been refilling carts and converters for years with a needle and syringe. It's especially helpful when you get near the bottom of a bottle and can't submerge the nib.

When I read the title of the thread I saw "Pen Flashing Video" and imagined a well-dressed gentleman strutting into a meeting with a fancy Montblanc sticking out of his breast pocket ... well, you get the picture.

Good information for all in there, thanks for sharing.
