Parker Quink - has anyone had any experience with this ink

Parker quink is the only fountain pen ink carried by my local Staples. Anyone have experience with this brand?

Lots of people love it. I just got a bottle of the blue/black and I'm liking it so far. It is a fairly forgiving and easy ink for most pens from what we hear.

It's a great all around ink. Came with my Parker starter set. Works great on most any paper. Probably best in a low flow or fine nib. Depending on the paper you may need extra dry time. Goulet Pens has some awesome deals and even sampler packs and they ship super quick.

A pretty good ink, I keep it loaded in at least one pen.
I think it looks better when used with XF, F or M nibs.

Aside from being a bit boring, it's fine. This is all I used until an enabler here introduced me to goulet ink samples.

Quink and my Pelikan are my go to work pair most days of the week

Writes great and dries fast never have an issue with it

I use quink black carts in a Parker 45 fine nib, once I finish the next cart I'll start refilling them and save the rest for emergency. It isn't a very fancy ink, but it flows well and gets the job done. I have a sample of the blue/black that I can't wait to try once I get to the office this morning.

Quink is great juice and will work well in almost any pen. I think the real beauty of Parker Quink is that is available almost anywhere. I saw bottles of it recently in a little country town pharmacy. I just assumed the bottles had been there forever but the lady at the counter told me that there is a 'brisk' turn over.

I did not like it in my Parker 45 Fine. It seemed weak and faint, but then again I have been using Noodler's Baystate Blue.

It is what it is. For the price and the dry time I don't expect much in the "saturation" department. I find the black is the worst culprit of them all. The blue and blue-black are alright.

The advantage of quink is that it suits most pens easily.. its dry.. But i didnt like quink blue as it was very light and faded.. but surprisingly the blue quink catridge i use in my parker 45 is very good (from colour point of view.. its brighter than the bottled ink) there were some discussion on the difference between bottled and catridges somewhere else..

Quink is not my favourite as i have other options :) am using Bril - an indian company ink and i love its royal blue colour. (not india ink; india ink is different) .

I got moves like Jagger
I like the "fast dry" aspect of Quink, and the price is pretty good as well. My only knock against it is that it's not waterproof, but since I don't use my notepad in the shower of the rain, I guess that I can live with it :tongue_sm

A work horse, not a race horse, solid and reliable.

In general terms ink from the major pen companies will nearly always be a safe choice Parker, Sheaffer, Waterman, Pilot. That said, I'm not a fan of Lamy Blue, ugh.
