Pandora (internet radio) - post your profiles!

http://www.pandora.com/people/goldenmonkey666#

Ok, my profile is a little slim at the moment, but if you are a user, please post yours...I'm curious to see/hear what other folks are listening to. Right now, I only have a couple of stations:

Industrial/EBM - I love Einsturzende Neubauten, Front 242, Skinny Puppy, Rammstein, etc. and this was the first station I created. I'm more of a classic rock guy, but my musical roots run deep, lol...

England's Dreaming - I REALLY love bands like The Damned, The Clash, Sham 69, 999, Stiff Little Fingers, Buzzcocks, etc., and this station is all awesome first-wave punk bands from the UK. For some reason it always wants to play The Ramones though, lol...

Cave - this is Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Grinderman, The Birthday Party, and whatever else Pandora throws my way...it really likes to add Joy Division and Echo and the Bunnymen, which is fine with me...love those guys too!

The Giants - The Who, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Ten Years After...nuff said.

The Metal - Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motorhead, AC/DC - rockin' and kickin' ***!

Sludge/Stoner/Doom - Churning, slower heavy metal...lots of Alabama Thunderpussy, Kyuss, Deadbird, Kalas, Orange Goblin, Earthride, The Sword, etc. Thick as molasses, riffy as all hell, makes me bang my head and want to sleep for ages...

If you feel like it, go ahead and post some comments on my Pandora profile, make some suggestions, gift me a station, or whatever...I'm open to a lot of things...just don't bring teh suck, lol.

Nice channels. I especially like the UK punk, Cave and Stoner channels.

Channels by memory so I may have left some out. I have to pick out of four distinct listeners on my account- trust me, they are different.

My channels:
Richard Thompson
Tom Waits
The Mills Brothers (insanely talented group)
The Allman Brothers (with Gov't Mule, DTB, DBT, MTB, etc)
Classic Punk (first wave thorugh post)
Classic Rock (emphasis on Thin Lizzy, BOC, LZ)
Motorhead
Sarah Vaughan/Dinah Washington
Miles Davis
Stax/Volt Soul
Metal (mostly 80's)
Strider Piano
The Grateful Dead

Thanks Smoov...you have some nice ones too!

Seriously, we're the ONLY two people here that use Pandora?!? C'mon guys. Cstrother?...You gotta have some stations... Strat, where's your Dead? Chime in fellas...

Funny, I had a Nick Cave channel too.

Others I've had:

the Church -- another great Australian band from the early 80s (I think they're still around), some overlap with Nick Cave

Roky Erickson -- 60s electric folk, jug band, and psych, all San Francisco sound.

For the past couple of years my main channel has been Dean Martin.

Nice, Nick Cave AND 13th Floor Elevators! Roky was out there, that's for sure...

I can't play anything because I'm Oz...

My Pandora (listening now, in fact).

It is a mix of jam band rock goodness (Widespread Panic, Moe, Grateful Dead) with a dash of hippie fiddle music (Railroad Earth) and some 80's stuff (REM).

Sometimes it is really good, sometimes just okay.

Just want to point out that Roky and the Elevators are a Texas band and not a California band.

Okay fellas...I must admit that I am very impressed with a few mentions of Roky. I have collected Roky for the past few decades- absolutely one of my favorites. It has been so cool to see his re-emergence the past few years.

My hat is tipped, gentlemen.
