Palmolive (New) brush or brushless

Does anyone know if this cream is meant to be used with and/or without a brush as there is no guidance on the package? I tried it without one and it seemed to work very well. Thanks.

Either - most people use a brush, and it lathers very well, but you can just rub it in and go to work.

A couple of years ago in Morocco, I was getting a straight shave in a barbers shop, and while the guy shaving me was whipping up a huge lather with Palmolive cream and a brush, I noticed that the barber shaving the customer (a local) in the next chair, just rubbed the cream on and started shaving.

A couple of days later I went back for a shave, and got the second barber, he just rubbed the cream on my face too. I was a bit doubtful about how it was going to turn out, but the guy gave me the best shave I have ever had, with no nicks or irritation at all.

Normally I shave every day, two days maximum, but it was three days before I needed to shave again!

That sounds fortunate, a 3 day shave. I could rip my facial hair out by the roots and probably need to shave the next morning.
