I really really like the tallow soaps. Am I missing anything on some of the other soaps? Are there others that perform good?

Strop Shoppe makes both tallow and no-tallow soaps. Great stuff, some of the best, in both cases.
I also like Tcheon Fung Sing, either their own brand or as rebranded as some of the RazoRock soaps.

there are so many good soaps. Personally, I don't think tallow is that important. I like a number of tallow soaps, but there are some really good vegetable soaps out there. Klar Kabinett, Al's Sapone da Barba, and Petal Pusher Fancies perform as well as anything I have ever used, and better than a number of tallow soaps I've tried.
