Origin of "Shave Den"

What is the origin of the term "Shave Den?" (Forgive me for not figuring out how to use the "search" function well enough)

I assume it is related to the saying "Beard the Lion in his Den" - but if it is not, then it sure seems appropriate.

Well, technically they live in setts, but nobody wants to call it a "Shave Sett".
