Orient Watches 50% off coupon

The only problem being that the prices for the watches on the manufacturer's site are double what the watches sell for from just about any online retailer's website.

I think I posted this on another Orient thread, but I will post here, too.

I did the 50% off on the least expensive of the Orient executive watches, the CEV09002B, see http://orientwatchusa.com/watch.php?id=119 . At the time, on the regular web site they had posted a 30% discount, as they do now, except, at the time they were bundling a dual automatic dresser top winder within that deal, whereas now they just throw in a free link remover and two day shipping. The 50% off deal included a link remover and a free gift (a nice watch tool kit in my instance which I cannot imagine me using unless I am just being curious and foolish!), along with the link remover. (Given that my watch has a leather band, I cannot imagine why I need a free link remover, but what the heck? Is there a way of using this tool to remove the leather band or something? I cannot see that there is!)

Anyway, I would loved to have had that dual watch winder they were bundling for the extra $24. I do not see that that model is available anywhere for less than, say, $45, and you can pay a lot more. Orient was fairly responsive and nice when I e-mailed them, but it was clear that they would not sell me a winder separately for any price or redo the deal for the $24 difference. (I got no explanation of what I could use the link remover for either, except that it was free with the watch!)

I am not really complaining about the price I paid. These are nice waches (although be prepared for the fact that the faces are relatively big around and the watches are relatively thick, and my leather band, anyway, is more orange than dark brown, as ti looked in some but not all the photos, I admit, although it looks pretty good). I do not know how they can sell a watch of this quality for this low a price. I would have gone for the winder, though, for the extra few bucks, if I had puzzled that out, though.

I bought one of these too. I'm not a fan of the fancier styles but the CEV09002B and the corresponding power reserve model are right up my alley. I also like some of the square metro styles but they are out of my price range for the moment.

I was actually planning on replacing the band when mine gets in. It looked like it might be too orange in the pics.
