A few observations. Feel free to ignore them.

I like the idea of leather for the two tone. You might want to look at more of a caramel color. Also, the white stitching seems informal for the watch. Finally, is the strap the right width? It looks like there's a fair amount of space between the strap and the lugs.

these are just mockups i did in ms-paint. i agree with your point that the white stitching may seem too informal for the watch. but i thought it would help continue with the white dial...

Wow. Cool.

I don't think you need stitching to have the strap match the white dial. I'd just go with a different (lighter? warmer?) shade of brown.

I think that brown leather would look better than black, given the high gold (well, yellow metal :001_rolle) content in the watch face. Black looks better with white/silver faces.

both leathers are brown: middle is mahogany and rightmost is cognac...

How do you intend to wear it?

If this is a casual wear watch, I prefer the dark mocha with the white stitching and a thicker padded profile.

If it is your only watch or if you want to wear it with more formal, go with the tone matched stitching..

one word of advice, get the metal bracelet. It's easier to find an aftermarket leather strap than it is to find a metal bracelet (not to mention it may be cheaper to source for aftermarket leather straps than metal bracelets).

Wow! Great feedback and questions, gentlemen!

Yup.

:thumbup1: love it.

Great question! It will be my only watch. It comes with the metal bracelet and I will purchase alternate straps to swap. I like you're thinking though: dark mocha w/ accent stitching for casual, congac with tone matched stitching for formal and a light colored shirt (all my dress shirts are lighter colors).

Thanks, Jakko! The metal bracelet comes with it and I am planning to get the aftermarket strap.
