Ooh that smell

Hello Gents,
I was given a pipe as a gift and would like to try it out. I am looking for a sweet smelling tobacco that I have smelled before. I have tried a few brands that they had at the local convenience store but to no avail. In short.

What tobacco smells like vanilla cookies baking?

Any point in the right direction is appreciated.

I'm guessing that it's Captain Black 'White'.

You can also do a search on tobaccoreviews.com for a particular style of aromatic tobacco. Just click on the advance search feature.

And congrats on the great gift!

Cheers and happy smoking!

P.S. Oh, BTW, be sure to check out the online pipe community on Youtube. Just do a search for 'pipe smoking' or 'pipe tobacco' or something similar.

Find a local tobacconist, and ask which of their blends is Lane 1Q. This is a sweet smelling and great tasting tobacco that appeals to a wide range of pipers, new and old alike.

I'm thinking the same thing. CBW should be available everywhere, or if you are in a Tobacconist ask for Lane's 'RLP-6'.

Everyone is giving great suggestions, and I can't imagine going wrong with any of them.

Good call on the RLP-6, I love it.

To the OP, if you find a tobacconist that carries Lane bulks, you might enjoy a 50/50 blend of BCA and 1-Q. I get more compliments on that blend from the ladies than you can imagine.

Boswells has some good aromatic blends, as someone has already posted the link. I am not an aromatic tobacco smoker though. I find that they smell nice, but don't deliver the flavor for the most part. I did enjoy a bit of boswells berry cobbler or something like that that I got to try.

1Q or RLP-6, personally I think the 1Q has a stronger vanilla flavor, and it's supposed to be the most popular blend in the U.S.. That's most likely what you're looking for. Happy hunting!
