From what I found out so far.... Handle and case signed sterling . Head is signed Gillette but not marked sterling .

will post more when I have it in hand.. Ghave to assume head is not sterling, probably made by a jewler and made for a Gillette head?

That looks to be a legitimate handle as found in this set. Can't find anything in that case however, so perhaps that is the custom part of the ensemble. Good find.

the handle is definitly sterling but the baseplate is unfortunatly not sterling cause the serial number have to be ended with "S" those sterling sets have no sterling caps. the case is a usual sterling set case. i have seen some of them but i think that the green lining is not original. you can remove that.

by the way very nice catch! keep your eyes open for an baseplate marked something like "3241S". i have 2 sterling sets too one with a sterling baseplate and one with the ordinary silver plated baseplate. i think that both variants were sold.
