Ogallala Bay Rum and Sandalwood Deodorant

I tried to find some info on this stuff using Google and B&B, but didn't really find anything definitive. I wanted to try a more natural deodorant, but something with a distinctive scent. I've never used Ogallala products, so I don't even know what their Bay Rum and Sandalwood stuff smells like.

I added a stick of this last minute to my WCS order last night and am eager to try it, but just curious if anyone has any experience with it.

I'm also interested in knowing how it is. I love their shave soap, soap and shampoo bar, and their aftershave. I asked the e-shop I buy from if they plan on carrying it and he said that he'll look into it.

Report: I love the scent of this deodorant, a really great mixture of two generally dominating smells, but it works! The scent lasts about as long as my typical old spice deo does, but the staying power of the deodorant itself leaves something to be desired in these humid summer months. I won't discredit it at all, but I may have to combine it with the alum crystal deodorant to get exactly what I need. (Or perhaps save it for when it gets cooler out and I'm a little less funky )

Sounds about right. Works ok for me but it doesn't last long and it doesn't cover up any strong odors.

Also it sort-of lathered in my pits...

ahh I forgot to mention that! The first time I used it was immediately after a shower and for a minute I was really confused and thought I accidentally bought a shave stick or something. Needless to say I wait til I know I'm dry to put it on now!

Thanks for the info. So does this mean it peters out mid-day and you start to smell not-so-fresh? I too sweat a lot during the summer so I would be interested to know this. I'm still interested in trying it to add layers of Ogallala Bay Rum scent... shower with the soap and shampoo bar, shave with the soap puck, splash on some AS, and use the the deo stick

Its not an antiperspirant so it wont stop you from sweating it just covers up the scent. Most deodorants have a chemical called triclosan which kills the bacteria that cause odor, this one has soap. If you have a mild scent or use it with an alum deo then it's great.

I have strong body odor so after a few hours it smells like someone splashed bay rum on a gym sock. As said before though, in winter its good enough or use it with alum.
