NON-Mentholated AS's?

After a purchase from Garry with the old standby's (Proraso, Floid Blue, AI), I've realized I'm not a big fan of mentholated splashes. With all the "Mentholated A/S" lists, there aren't many for non-mentholated, so throw some of your favorite non-mentholated splashes out there!

All booster AS don't have menthol. Brut (Euro and Australian versions), the American(made in Mexico) version has menthol but it's so light, I don't notice it. Old Spice, Pinaud Clubman.

I believe none of the Pinaud aftershaves have menthol in them. Aqua Velva Musk and Old Spice, which are readily-available. Also, I don't think any of the bay rums that are recommended on here (VIBR, Master's, Captain's Choice, Superior 70, etc.) are mentholated. Lots of choices.

+1 on Speick.
Various bay rums (Favorites are Captain's Choice classic and Krampert's Acadian Spice).
Myrsol Agua Balsamica
RazoRock Problem Solver (non-alcohol, too)
SIR Irisch Moos AS has no menthol, if I recall correctly
Portland General Store "Whiskey" (non-alcohol, too)

I can think of others, but these I've used and liked.

None of my AS' are mentholated:
Brut
Clubman
Speick
4177
Captain's Choice Lime
Captain's Choice Co9T
Ogallala Bay Rum, Limes and Peppercorns
TOBS Jermyn Street
C&E West Indian Lime ASB

How is it? (And is it "powdery"?)

I think its excellent. Very soothing and nourishing.

It starts with a bit of citrus and then, yes, it does dry down to a light powdery scent that lingers for about 30-45 minutes. The dry down reminds me a bit of skin bracer w/o the menthol.

I'd say its probably my favorite scented aftershave and definitely my favorite non-mentholated.

Thanks -- I think RR products in general are amazing value for the dollar. I really don't like "powder" scents in splashes, though. I was hoping you'd say no!

Joe has a bunch of other non-mentholated aftershaves, balms, and waxes as well. I haven't tried any of the other splashes, but I have tried the balms and waxes which are excellent. I feel like you can't go wrong with any RR product.

I'm with you, I'm not a fan of menthol AS either. Here's a list of non-menthol AS in my den:

Speick
Musgo (Classic)
Tabac
Captains Choice

Speick actually has menthol (and camphor), but so little that it's hard to notice. It's one of my favorites and won't give you any icy burn.

Most of the Master aftershaves are non-mentholated, except for Iceland Breeze and Blue I think.

Musgo Real is nice too.

I just checked my stash and you're right, I stand corrected. I never noticed any menthol feel after application though

It’s not really noticeable. It sorta blends right in with the evaporative cooling of the alcohol and water. Speick has a pretty masterful balance of ingredients. Hats off to the Germans.
