Non-alcoholic Aftershave splashes?

I have a cheapo minature Gillette aftershave that I think came in some sort of gift set I was given.

It is excellent. :blushing:

It says 'non-alcoholic' on the label, but has no ingredients listed.

Its piqued my interest in this sort of product, and I'd like to look for another.

Any recommendations?

I'd recommend that you incorporate alcohol somewhere in your post-shave regimen, whether it be in a witch hazel splash or in a final aftershave splash.

Lately we've been seeing members with infected nicks, etc. that probably wouldn't have happened if a little alcohol had ventured into the mix early on.

Other than balms and conditioners, the non-alcohol splashes that come to mind are DR Harris Pink and Provence Sante.

D.R. Harris Pink does have alcohol, just a very low percentage of it - around 16%. I believe Provence Sante is alcohol free. Lucky Tiger Aftershave and Face Tonic is also alcohol free.

There are Thayer's alcohol free witch hazels, and Speick splash, which has alcohol but you wouldn't know it.

Ah, if only Clubmanrob was here to rail against the idea of alcohol free witch hazel...

82R100 makes a good point, and there is a reason that so many aftershave products have nasty ol' alcohol in them.

Throw on the boozy stuff, then put your moisturizing product on. Soft, glowing skin won't make a nasty boil look any better.

Alcohol free witch hazel=the O'Doul's of the Shave Den.

Hello Chris,

I agree there is a lot to be said for alcohol based splashes, and myself use one on most days - I do not buy the balm producing companies and 'beauty' experts propaganda about alcohol being bad for the skin. Having said that, it is drying at this time of year and I always use a balm after applying it.

I'm just enthused about this product because I really like the way it works. Its not the lack of alcohol. But it is a defining feature, maybe one I erroneously ascribed with meaning. Perhaps I really like Gillettes aftershaves...

Now, I suspect this product is essentially perfumed water, but I still really like it

What is it called (besides Gillette)?

I've used Boosters Polar Ice and Mosswood. Both have no noticeable alcohol sting when I've used them.

I use the Ogallala witch hazel based AS there is a small amount of alcohol, but it doesn't bother me like some alcohol AS does.
