Night Sights

I'd like to add night sights to an S&W 442 revolver and an old Beretta. What's the best way to go about it? Will I be able to do it myself or should I pay someone?

If you haven't done it before, I would say go with a gunsmith. The type of sights might be a factor and if you're doing a swap for similar sights (same pin holes, etc) it might not be too difficult.
But if you want it done right, your safest bet would be to take it to a professional. Then again, if you are willing to experiment with either of the guns you mentioned, this could provide an opportunity to learn. I wouldn't play around with the S&W and if the Beretta is in good shape that probably wouldn't be a great candidate either.
Just my 2 cents...

Gunsmith if you have not done it before . Some guns are easier to swap out sights than others, but you still have special tools to do it correctly . Glocks are about the easiest , but not S&W

Ditto.
Not rocket science, but easy to screw up.

Keep in mind that, generally, on revolvers, the glowing element is only the front sight, and the one on my SP101 is barely visible with any ambient light.
It also changed the aim point slightly from 6:00 to center.
