Nifty soap containers on the cheap.

Howdy all,
Was perusing the local dollar store when I came upon some small lidded containers that looked perfect for putting shave soap in. Since they were only a buck I didn't have much to lose if I disliked them.





Ends up I like these a lot. Inside dimensions are roughly 1 3/4" deep and 3 1/2" diameter. Perfect for the soaps I have. Smaller pucks I grate and press into the bowls, Larger softer pucks like Stirling's I just press into the bowl with my fingers.

Awesome soap containers for only a $ buck!

Nice find! Is it metal or ceramic? Or both? Either way, great find. Might be bigger than the 1cup pyrex bowls so that's a +.

@ Cicique, they are metal with a porcelain type finish. Could just be painted but its a very durable finish if it is.

@ Bobcat, was at the Dollar General.

they really look nice - but I think the only negative side is the width...I think for storing it would be perfect but while attempting to load with a nice brush one may have to just push the brush hard against the soap to load properly.

I am looking for something exactly like that. I am 0 for 2 at dollar stores. The hunt continues...

They are deceptively large. I'll take a picture of a new William's puck inside the container.




As you can see, it's much larger than the William's puck. I'm finding it to be almost ideal size. And only 1$. I can't complain.
