New month, new goodies. Maybe an orange Safari Flame or fall colored inks. Lots of great items and pics last month.

Let's see what you got!

Just came in the mail today:

My postman delivered a set of the NK Sweden 2012 Lamy Safari variations. The red dot end caps differentiate these from a similar run done for Rakuten/Japan. Yellow is the "new" yellow.

See middle! :001_tt2:

All of those are really nice, but I really like the yellow.

Hard to get Safaris. I'm not a big modern Lamy guy (I do like my 27s) but I have the Flame too! Those NK Bookstore models are intriguing, where did you find them?

Like the blue pen with yellow clip from '07/'08, the NK department store commissioned a special run of these, supposedly at 200 for each model. A kind FPN member served as a proxy buyer for me. It took me four years to find the blue one, so I am glad I don't have to do that again. The yellow and red has a real McDonald's vibe to it. The all-red is just dying for some Skrip Red!

Got a bottle of Private Reserve Midnight Blues today. Expanding my bottle selection beyond Noodlers ink for once. I really like it so far, its a very deep blue/black, almost like its black with a hint of blue. Dries very fast and flows wonderfully on my journal paper without feathering.

Delivered today: Pelikan M205 blue demonstrator model and a bottle of Sailor Jentle ink (Sky High color). I knew something like this would happen after trying my first fountain pen a little while ago. FPAD for sure.

Black is good in every season. I'm using Private Reserve Black Cherry ink in this. It comes out a deep, rich, brown, which of course looks black here.

Hero 616 and Retro 51 Tornado Stainless Steel. Really digging the ultra light weight of the Hero and the hooded nib is a first for me. The 51 is gorgeous,an absolute work of art. By far the best operating and nicest looking rollerball I've ever had!

Any pics?

The Hero is nothing special to look at and I don't have a camera, the cell phone takes terrible pics. Here is a picture from Jet Pens of the Retro 51 stainless

I preordered two of the nifty Sheaffer Ferrari pens today. A fountain pen for me and a ballpoint for my wife.

just picked up a Platinum 3776 black with a soft fine nib... also got a Noodlers Konrad but the nib is FUBAR... :( it isn't symmetrical (spoke to Alex @ goulet and we are working it out, great folks at goulet!)

loving the Platinum, great weight/size, and a very nice feel on the soft Nib -truly was the perfect addition (for someone with my limited experience) to my Waterman Hemisphere (white) w a fine nib, and my Lammy Safari in charcoal (fine nib)...

I am debating on my next purchase - would love to find a decent vintage pen, particularly a Sailor 1911... or ????? my first foray into a vintage pens, so in no rush...

I am not much for fancy writing, so I have chosen finer nibs as opposed to broad or italics - as these are all for daily notes/usage during work and I tend to write very small...

I am considering picking up a medium nib on my next purchase, possibly even a broad - been looking at either a Lamy 2000 or Pilot/Namiki Falcon or again possibly a vintage writing utensil (those Sailors are gorgeous, as are the celluloid Parkers of recent thread)- although I'm not sure of fair prices for vintage pens.... and I'm in no rush.

regarding ink.... I've been using Noodler's Heart of Darkness, Pilot's Kon Peki and Noodler's Black Swan in Aussie Roses. I love ALL of them... would be hard pressed to choose a favorite, tho the Kon Peki has been my only ink (aside from cartridge inks) for the Waterman and Lamy Safari for months and I also got a nice set of sampler inks from Goulet today, but haven't delved into them yet.

oh joy, another deep rabbit hole!

thank you all, I really appreciate the knowledge shared on this forum, as in all other B&B sub-forums.

I broke my promise and bought another fountain pen on BST. This is my third 1.5mm nib.

I ordered a Lamy Studio in the Brushed Steel finish. I hope it will be delivered today. I kind of took a chance ordering the pen without doing a lot of research, so I hope I did not get burned.

I got a Noodler's Konrad in the smoke color. I like its writing but it is not quite transparent enough for a demostrator. I like the flex nib.
