Newbie review of Shark Super Chrome Blades

So I'm now 4 shaves into DE wetshaving, the first 3 were on the same Merkur Super Platinum blades (still sharp just wanted to switch). I've read a lot of negative reviews about the Sharks, but they came with my setup I bought, and honestly it was the best shave of my life, super close, barely felt it, and barely needed a second pass through. I'll definitely be buying more Sharks. If anyone has some and doesn't want their Sharks, I'll gladly take them off their hands.

Congratulations on finding a blade that works well for you. Although I haven't tried the Shark Super Chrome, I have used the Shark stainless and find them to be smooth, sharp blades, particularly in my Gillette Fatboy.

More importantly although there are many well informed opinions and a ton of information that are worth reading, nothing is more true in shaving than YMMV. After all, only you have your beard, technique and razor.

One of my first blade purchases were Sharp Stainless blades from Pakistan, another not well regarded blade. For me they were a lovely combination of sharpness and smoothness.

I think they're pretty good blades, also. To this face, they're just about as smooth as a 7 O'Clock black. Of course, they don't have the same longevity, but you can forgive that for the price difference between the two.

They work well for me, too, but I cannot seem to get more than two shaves out of them.

I may have reviewed too soon, I shaved with the same blade again this morning, and it wasn't as smooth but still good, definitely wouldn't want to go for 3 shaves with it.

I hope I found at least one blade that will work for me, I'm only 5 shaves in, 2 types of blades, that's all I have so far. I want to try more blades before I settle in a few. Everyone talks in jargon here, so as a newbie I find my self Google'ing abbreviations frequently (YMMV,etc.). This site is a great resource, but makes it doubly difficult for newbies with constant abbreviations. Nonetheless, appreciate all the comments!

I bought 100 Shark SC's after my first shave with them! Good stuff.
I almost did that because they're cheap on Ebay. I'm going to shave with Sharks a few more time before I buy them or anything in bulk.

wonderful, i recently discovered them as well and love them so far, but the SS version. am yet to try the chrome!
