Newb question about Wostenholm straight

I saw one for sale that had a "curved" spine, if that's the proper term.
It appeared that the edge of the blade followed the curve of the spine.
Is that normal? Or is the edge supposed to be straight? (yeah, I know...straight razor)

A smiling blade is normal, and can be a good thing if you like shaving with them. I do - so do many others.
Some hone the smile out - it's a personal preference thing.

A lot of razors were made that way. Probably to cater to those that preferred that style.

I like shaving with my smiling blades more than those that are dead straight.

To each their own I guess.

slight smiling blades can be useful in getting in small tough to get spots.. ;-)
