Went to the post office today and bought some stamps. Wow, very cool!

Gerald Murphy produced only about a dozen works in less than ten years as a practicing artist, yet today he is recognized as a significant painter whose work prefigured the Pop art of the 1960s. The oil-on-canvas painting, Razor (1924), typifies Murphy's work in its detailed depiction of commonplace objects.

Unfortunately there's only one per $5.52 sheet but the other stamps are gorgeous, too.

The razor looks like a Gillette New Improved/New Standard. I've got one sitting upstairs in my cabinet!

The pen could be a Parker Duofold "Big Red". I can guarantee you I don't have one of those in my cabinet!

Nice find, Doug! I like all of the stamps on that sheet. I'll definitely be picking some up. I started writing more letters at a good time.

Too bad they didn't make a larger print for framing. I love silk screen prints, and that one looks like it be an amazing print with vibrant colours and graphics

That pen looks like a winner to me.
