My first SE arrived today so put a fresh blade in and all set to go tomorrow.
Looks lethal loaded, any last minute tips (I have been reading the threads) just not sure if i need to order a new face !
The angle that you comfortably use with DE razors will destroy your face if you try it with an SE. The angle will be a LOT shallower than you think.
Just remember the angle is still easy to find. Start with the cap flat against your face and slowly open up up the angle. You'll feel (and hear) once it starts cutting. The sound is very much like buttering toast.
It looks exactly like mine. Mint. Do not be discouraged if you get a few weepers. My first shave was pretty bad, but the second and the third were weeper-free BBS.
Itis a very different experience compared to any DE. Treat it like you would treat an open comb.
Blades here in New Zealand at mancave http://www.mancave.co.nz but I'll go to connaught in the UK if I get serious about SE (in other words don't need a transfusion)
seriously - there is nothing to be afraid of, take your time, go through your normal prep, get a good lather going. I headshave with a g-bar and love it. not a big fan of faceshaving with an SE but my travel kit is an SE-only zone.
