I was browsing The Superior Shave and saw a notification on their homepage for the new Merkur #44. I like my Futur but I'm sad to say that I don't like the looks of the new handle.

Lacking in the grip department I would imagine.
However, the slanted botton could make it easier to rest on a pinky or ring finger depending on the user's hand size. Seems like that might put the head at just the right angle. Merkur,might be on to something after all . . . or maybe not.

I don't like it either. I tend to put my pinky on the bottom of the handle for support. That bevel would make it awkward to do that.
