Hi guys!

When Vintage Scent had the 20% discount about two weeks ago celebrating Vintage Scent 5th anniversary I pulled the trigger on four brushes; two of them arrived today, and the other two will be a surprise for you when they arrive. Vote in the poll which ones you think it is, for fun!

I actually have owned a 830 before and one of the other brushes that I'm waiting on, sold them for some reason...

Enjoy gents!

Used the 2000 for the first time, facelathering Tabac soap; great!

I love the handle on the 830, really really nice!

Thank you, Leon and Vintage Scent I could not be happier.

Congratulations on two terrific brushes.

I have both the 830 and the 2000 and love them both. They will both soften up quite a bit as they break in, there will be no "prickly" feeling.

The 830 is a good multi-purpose brush, which I primarily use for face lathering. It's a nice combination of backbone, density and softness. I agree with you about the quality of the handle. It looks great and feels equally great in your hand.

For me the 2000 is one of the unsung Semogue heros living in the shadow of the more popular Semogue Owners Club. In fact I purchased the two brushes at the same time, and ended up keeping the 2000 and trading the SOC, for you guessed it the 830.
The 2000, because of it's size, for me is really a bowl lathering brush. I can face lather with it, but really find the knot too large for me to comfortably face lather with it. It is certainly capable of face lathering well, but for me it's in the bowl.

Interestingly your 2000 has the Semogue Brand at the base of the handle, my one year old brush doesn't have this feature.

Your brushes will break in over the next several weeks, with marked improvement from week to week. To give you an idea see the photo for an upcoming post about a new Semogue 820. In the photo I compare the 820 to the broken in 830 in the right background as they share the same handle and a broken in 1250. You can see how the 830 has bloomed nicely as well as the difference between the 1250 and 820 which share the same knot.

Enjoy your fine new brushes.

My 830 is still on the way from vintagescent. Expect DOA: next week.
Look forward to its magic. Current fav are omega 80266, 10275 and the pros 49 and 83.

I've had the 830 in my rotation for about a year and it's a great brush. Enjoy the break-in and also excellent pics

Enjoy your fine new brushes.

Thank you for your time writing this.

I actually thought that all the 2000 models had the Semogue logotype on the base of the handle! I now remember that I sold the 830 I had because it did not hold lather especially well.. maybe placebo and that´s why I bought it again.

I am a 100% facelathering guy and the 2000 is really big but should work well. Seems like it breaks in really fast. The brush has been used once and lathered twice, and the tips are already curly and split.. really fast!

Did bought a 1800 last month from Miguel @ ThePortugalOnlineShop and it is great now!

For pure performance, making lather bowl or face, soap, croap or cream, delivery without hogging, scrub without irritation, IMO you can get an 830 and stop right there (well, get two so one can dry out). And I really like the handle.
