New Brush arrived today

My Simpsons Persian Jar 2 in Super arrived today and I've just used it for the first time. This is my third Simpsons brush and I have been very impressed with all three. The thing that constantly amazes with me with traditional shaving is the completely different experience you can have using different products.

So I paired the SPJ2 with a 1963 Gillette Slim Adjustable and GFT Coconut Oil cream.

What a great experience, this brush produced enough lather for about ten passes, very soft as you would expect from Super and just the right size, for me any way. It did shed about six hairs but in my experience with the other two Simpsons brushes that will be the end of any hair loss.

The PJ2 provides a quite different experience from my Chubby 1 in best or my Classic in Manchurian, after only one shave I think the PJ2 is going to be more of a cream brush than a soap one, it's maybe a little soft for a hard soap. I know that the PJ has had some good reviews in this forum and I can only endorse the positive comments already made.

Nice review and nice brushes. I have a Tulip 4 in super being shipped. After using my CH3 in 2 band, I've really started to love it with soaps, so I figure the T4 super will be good for creams.

Do you use your Chubby 1 for face lathering mainly or ?

Hi Claus, I use the Chubby both for face and bowl lathering depending on how I feel. I have to say the Chubby in best has to be one of the best all round shaving brushes on the market, I can't imagine anyone not liking it, very different from my new PJ.
As an aside I lived in Copenhagen from 1999 to 2004, one of the best periods of my life in one of the nicest city's in Europe.

That sounds nice, thanks on behalf of the town I live in - did you study or work when you were here ?

Regarding the Chubby 1 - I may order one in Best along with a Duke 3 in Best - but not before Christmas time since I have just bought 3 brushes this month and have 3 on order for August and September......
