New brush advice for soap and mug lather

Currently I use a Vulfix 2234 brush. It is the only brush I have used and it is very soft and feels great. BUT I am actually looking for something that will scrub/lift my beard more. Also, I don't care for how it does not keep its shape and seems a little too big when using for my preference.
I usually use soap and lather in a mug. Prefer smaller brush that can lift my beard without it being scratchy. Don't have a preference for Badger or Boar as I have only tried a badger brush. Would like to stay under $100. Looking for advice.

By all means try a boar. You could pick up an Omega 10066 for less than $15, or wait for the next round of the B&B essential.

Based on your requirements, a boar brush is a good option and would be well under your budget.

Omega 10066 is very soft for a boar, but still good for scrubbing. The smaller version of the famous, huge, professional 48/49.
