What's new

Need some new sticks to try

I like medium smokers with a lot of flavours in them... anything I should ask my local guys about ?, they always have a cigar of the week, and this weeks
one is

Flor de Copan Belicoso

$244.jpg

Make for a good start ?

never had one. But my google-fu skills brought up some reviews with the over all consensus that its a well constructed mild cigar with a woodsy slightly peppery flavor profile. I say give it a go, you never know if you like it or not.

I've had Flor de Copan, not that particular version, but remember it being a decent smoke for the price. There aren't any in the humidor though, and there probably won't be. So take that for what it's worth.

Well as many of your know I think the R&J is one of the best mild to medium cigars out there. But I also really love the Partagas brand and Gran Habano Vintage 2002.

what about the Acid house cigars, they sound interesting to say the least, not even sure if my locals carry them, but they worth asking about

Ill have a look for the R&J and others Hunter

By acid do you mean Acid by drew estates? The infused cigar? TBH, I bought some for friends to smoke when they were over, had one after a few too many scotches and thought I liked it. Had one again the other day when sober and really realized they aren't my cup of tea.

The RyJ are tasty as are alot of cubans you can get up there. Are you looking for cubans or Nc's?

I'm not familiar with Acid "house" cigars. But like Boris, I don't have a taste for the flavored Acids. Maybe as a flyer, change of pace thing--but really not for me.

Actually forgot to mention, after seeing alot of perdomo champagne around, I actually go to trying one that I had in my humidor. Its actually got pretty good flavor for such a mild cigar.

No meant acid not acid house... I don't buy from where they come from, I can get lots of cubans as they are okay to deal in here

On my way home today ill have a look

Ended up around the globe here, (Cubans are very expensive)
Alec Bradley - Black Market
RYJ - desde 1875 (My one cuban)
Punch - Gran Puro
Casa Magna, which I think was the one that i was told was cigar of the year in 2008

one of these guys is

anyway Should be varied enough for me to get a good sense of things

good choice on the cuban. i definately approve. the only one in there I havent smoked is the black market. The rest are good smokes and i would gladly light them up anytime. Let me know your thoughts on the black market. I might have to get one to try too if you like it.

The Black Market is good, too. Maybe not AB's best, but very enjoyable, IMO. Those cigars look like winners to me.

RyJ was nice... not sure I have the taste to like it enough to keep a lot around though... at 25 bucks a pop I don't wanna have a big taste for them lol.. but a lot of flavours not to over powering burned great as well

I think ill do the black market next

Ill bumble around a proper post for that one

The short churchill is a favourite but it is more of a weekend smoke because it takes a while to get through. I have friends that swear by the Black Market.

I'm pretty new to cigars, but I had a punch royal coronation in the tube that I quite like. May actually give the Gran Puro a shot.

I had a RyJ Milles Fleur the other day but enjoyed the No. 3 better.

Also -- I had an H Uppman.. can't remember which, probably about a 42 gauge. And although the taste was great, it had a crazy hard pull. I think that was an anomaly though from what I've read.

As far as cubans, the next on my list are Montecristo No. 4, and a Bolivar. But to be honest I'm going to pick up some more Punches tomorrow.
