Need some education on the Parker 96R

I recently acquired a Gillette Black Beauty Super Adjustable Long handle razor and I am looking for another one just like it or very similar to it for a back up razor. I just came across the Parker 96R and I am wondering if anyone has any experience with the Parker razor? Just from what I am seeing in the pics of the Parker it appears to be a Black Beauty knock off. Chime in if you have a Parker or have tried one.

I had a few Parkers and sold them all due to the cheap construction and materials used.

I had a Parker 60R, similar to what you mentioned. I also have a fatboy and a slim and the parker sees no use, at all. That said though its a good backup if you plan on only having one razor as a backup, the finish is better than expected for its price though not top quality. The materials also seem cheaper, I highly doubt it's brass under the nickel.

Buy a slim, you'll be happier, unless you want to experiment.

Congratz on the 50th post! and Thanks for the link. I guess looks can be deceiving, I believe I'll be getting another Black Beauty soon enough
