Need help with razor identification.

I was browsing at a local antique store today and found this razor.



I know it is an Old Type and I know it is a Pocket Edition but I was wondering if anyone can help me identify what year it was manufactured? The closest I could find on the Mr. Razor site is that it may be a 1927 Pocket Edition. Is that correct or did they make this same set in other years as well? If it is a 1927 I plan to buy it because that is the year my dad was born. Any help you Gillette experts can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Alex thanks for the info, the only markings on it were the Made In U.S.A. and the Gillette in the diamond logo on the base. And it did not have the original blade with it. My dads D.O.B was 10/31/27 which is during the no serial number phase so I think I might just buy it since the seller only wants $10 for it, unless anyone else can provide more info.
