Need help - Mond-Extra razor

Hi !

I got this old single ring yesterday from my grandfather, you could imagine how happy i were. The only label on the razor is on the top plate, as you can see in the picture it says "Mond-Extra", i would like to now what model or year could this be, anyone can help ? It came in a rather worn Gillette case, got some vintage unopened blades as well. It is interesting that it`s in a Gillette case, because as much as i`ve done research, Mond-Extra made copies from Gillette, so basically it`s the same as a Gillette single ring.
Thanks for all your help !

"Mond Extra" was a German brand (Büchner). Later it was "Rotbart Mond Extra" (Otto Roth & Büchner) and later "Gillette Roth-Büchner GmbH"

Thanks for the reply ! According to this, this razor should be made before 1926. Now i have got an another problem, the Gillette case has a bad musty smell to it, brushed it, tried coffee grounds, leaving it out in fresh air, but still the smell remains, any help ?

Your case should look like this, I dont think gillette actually put a ( Gillette made ) Mond Extra stamped razor in a Gillette case. Maybe Porter can add to this.

Its a combination of Bacteria, trapped dried up water and mold/mildew....you can use constantly do a light touch up with lime type remover products and keep airing out, or best solution may be to replace it.
