What's new

need a watch band for vintage omega

I have a vintage Omega (1940s) that needs a new strap. The current strap is new, has an ugly buckle and doesn't match the watch very well. I'm looking for something that would go well with an older watch, either vintage or one that looks the part. I measured and it takes a 17mm band. I think black or dark brown would go well. Any suggestions on where to look?

Try FREDA watch bands. Brown or tan Alligator/Croc. would look good.
Black I think is wrong on that color dial...:001_cool:

PS...Should be a "dress band" no contrast stitching.

I agree, I think brown would match the patina much better than black. Thanks for the suggestions. It definitely seems like 17mm is a tough size to find.

Thinking about one of these 2 Hirsch straps. I like the design/shape of the golden-colored strap, but the darker color might look a bit better. What do you guys think?

The tan is nice....but it looks too thick for that watch. You need a thin strap..How thick is it?
I have a Kreisler 18mm on my MOVADO and it's 1/8inch thick.
The dark brown looks thinner but too dark, IMHO.
