Nah, you're not pathetic. The new bottles are utterly hideous and I've stopped buying Myrsol until they go back to the old ones. However, if you find remnants of the old ones you can try searching
I'm no glass-making expert but it wouldn't seem too hard to take an old bottle and make new molds from one.... or at least replace that overly large cap.
